People undertake creative pursuits like painting, singing, writing, drawing or acting because they enjoy them. Intuitively they know that creativity brings joy and is good for their overall health. But what if we would tell you that science also proved that creativity has many benefits for health and wellbeing?

You may pursue creative activities as a hobby, or do it to make a living, but you've never thought about the ways it makes you feel better. Your mind and body are made to feel free and happy when you express yourself through art and unleash your imagination

People have been creating since the prehistoric era when the ancestors have scribbled the first marks on cave walls. They drew animals, plants, and expressions of what they thought were humans. The need to create things lays in the human blood and has served them over time to create shelter, tools, cook food, and make medicine to heal diseases. But there are also times when people create things only for the sake of it. This article uncovers the benefits, art and creativity have for human health.

Improves mental health

Painting, drawing, and clay moulding can help people deal with trauma. In any form, art can help people express the experiences that hurt them and are too difficult to put into words. Artistic self-expression maintains and reconstructs a positive identity. Writing is another way to express traumatic events because people can narrate what happened at their own pace. Writing allows people to take heir negative situations and create meaning of them. Writing combined with trauma therapy can help patients make sense of their trauma in a personal way. Another way to boost mental health is to take supplements like Ionic Minerals because they improve the mood.

It boosts the brain's health

Creative writing can also help with memorisation and learning. It's easier for people who struggle with anxiety and depression to type ideas and allow their physician to read them later because they may not remember everything during their sessions. Also, students can use writing as a method to learn more efficiently.

Writing isn't the only way to boost the brain's health; music can also do it. Albert Einstein said that music has always been a part of his life and significantly influenced how he thought. Playacting also improves human cognition

Art has physical health benefits

Studies show that patients who express their traumatic experience through art show improvements in their physical health, boost their immune system functioning and need less medical support. Writing can help with chronic pain management, and people experiencing a condition that triggers pain can control their symptoms better if they commit to a form of art. Focusing their creativity to creating something allows them to take their mind from their symptoms and trick their mind into feeling better. For example, music stimulates the brain in multiple ways by moderating the response to stress stimuli and stimulating the limbic system.
